'Cottage, Warren Road' was painted during the winter down at the Warren in Rosscarbery, West Cork. I had sketched it a couple of times and I wanted to try it in oils and using more expressive brush strokes. The pony in the field gives the painting a bit of personality. This traditional cottage has been modernised since I painted it so this is a nice record of it as it was.
