Walking In is a beautiful soulful oil painting of horses returning from exercise. This painting was inspired by watching horses walking back in after the races and in particular at the Cheltenham festival. I have taken many photographs to try and get the atmosphere, and the steam rising in winter light - not easy! This particular painting was created using a mixture of my own photographs and memories and a reference photo from David Betts
