In the Heather Field is a beautiful original oil painting of a black horse in a filed full of heather and surrounded by trees. This painting was inspired an image I saw and I increasing like the idea of using plants to frame native breed horses and ponies and show them in their natural environments. This is a Dales pony from the north of England where they were use to working and living on the Yorkshire moors. This painting will be exhibited at the National Horse Racing Museum, Newmarket, April 28th - May 21st
