Barn Girls iii is the latest in a series of cow paintings based on the farm where my studio is located. The dairy cows are kept in a barn over the winter and are a familiar sight each day when I come to work. it is hard not to resist painting them. This is the largest I have attempted so far. and I am still enjoying painting them.  The previous paintings in this series have sold.

I painted dairy cows over the winter of 2018/19. They were rather conveniently over wintering on my uncle's farm where my studio is located. This meant I could easily return several times to the scene as I painted it. This is the first one I painted in January in a cool winter light. Barn girls is framed in a dark, solid ash frame.

Barn Girls ii is the second of the oil paintings of dairy cows on my uncles farm. The light is warmer in this one as it was painted in the autumn. Available framed in a dark solid ash frame.
