Sea pinks, squince is a small oil painting of the sea pinks in flower on squince beach not far from the fishing village of Union Hall. The small uninhabited Rabbit Island is opposite the beach and can just be seen in the top right hand side of the painting.

Ballintona, Union Hall is very pretty with a number of traditional cottages along the waters edge like this one. There is an estuary leading down to Squince beach which looks onto Rabbit Island. I have been meaning to do some paintings of the area for some time. Hopefully this is just the start.
