Montbretia August is an 8 x 8" oil on canvas board painting of the lane up to my studio in lisnabrinna near Rossmore. The monbretia was in full bloom along the hedgerows and the trees cast interesting shadows on the laneway. It is a typical scene around west cork where the montbretia has happily spread along the roadsides.
